DANIELLE

Love2Dance was started up in 2004 and is run by professional dancer and choreographer Danielle Blenman who has been dancing since the age of 4 years old. Danielle is the Managing Director, Founder, Choreographer and Dance Teacher for Love2Dance.

Most of Danielle’s dance knowledge and dance qualifications came from the BRIT School of Performing Arts where she studied dance in the style of jazz and contemporary. She is trained in Street, Freestyle, Contemporary and Jazz. Danielle teaches at both venues and most schools.

SIMONE

I have been with Love2Dance since it began in 2004 and my daughters have both been coming from the beginning so she I have witnessed the company grow and I am very happy that I am now part of the team, voluntarily. I am the company PA and am also about to start studying towards my degree in Social work. My main Interests are my girls and Dance. I take classes in Copoiera, Belly Dance, Street and Samba.
Encouraging and enriching children's lives so they can reach their full potential is, I hope, my legacy - my life's work. My other interests include Community, Charity and Volunteering.

ELMA

I used to dance with the country's leading samba school called Paraiso do samba which trains people in Rio carnival samba. The school trains in Brixton. I have danced with the school in Notting Hill Carnival, and I train capoeira angola - the brazilian fight/dance. Samba is a dance which came out of the kitchens and back yards of Rio de Janeiro in the early 1900's and created by descendents of slaves who created a fusion of African and European rhythms and music. It's one of the most exciting, african-based dances out there!! Elma teaches samba at Love2Dance and also runs adult workshops and private tuition.

ANDREA

I have always enjoyed dancing and have trained in Street dance since a young age. I studied at William Morris Academy to gain my dance GCSE and A Level. I am secretary to Danielle and also part of a team of event co-ordinators, which includes anything from costumes to stage positioning. I have been a part of Love2Dance since Danielle first began and have enjoyed watching it grow so far and I am even more excited to be a part of it as it continues to prosper.

FIONA

I am a new dance teacher at love2dance, where I began teaching in Feburary 2010. I am trained in hip hop and street styles, including breakdance, locking, popping, krump and house. I began dancing at the late age of 17, but found that dance was something that came naturally to me and something I wanted to pursue further with training. I began dancing with 2faced Dance Company training in breakdance, street and contemporary, this lead to training with Tkspin Masters of Movement, learning hip hop and technical dance styles. I am also currently studying Urban Dance at University of East London, where I have completed my second year. I am a very passionate dancer and teacher, where I want to encourage and support young people into dance further by passing on my knowledge and skills.

ABENA

SOFIA

Sofia has been singing her whole life and is working towards taking a music performance degree at University. She helps out at shows and events and also does vocal training with dancers and private tuition. She has also been dancing since the age of 4 and is trained in Contemporary, Hip hop, ballet, tap and break dancing. Sofia has worked with Love2Dance from the beginning and continues to perform around London and at our annual shows.

WENDY

My name is Wendy. I have been a qualified counsellor for over 15 years. Most of my work is with young people, but I also work with families, individuals and couples. I am also a qualified Supervisor and trainer. I am CRB checked and also have training in Child Protection Issues.

I work with various organisations including Colleges, Youth centres, Young People’s Centres and Doctor's Surgeries. At Love2Dance I help with shows, fundraising, finance and promotion.

INDRE

Indre is our graphic designer, you will find her at shows and she designs all flyers for Love2Dance.
